Mundella Foods Win Big at WA Royal Agriculture Society Dairy Awards
At the recent prestigious WA Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) Dairy Awards, Mundella Foods were again multiple award winners for their premium cheeses and yoghurts.
The Mundijong based dairy producer took out 16 awards (5 gold and 11 silver) including being awarded ‘champion yoghurt product’ for their popular Greek Vanilla Yoghurt.
To receive a gold award, producers must be awarded at least 18 points or higher out of 20 by the judging panel. The Mundella Foods products that were awarded this impressive score included:
- Greek Natural Yoghurt
- Greek Honey Yoghurt
- Greek Vanilla Yoghurt
- Ricotta Cheese
- Sundried Tomato & Olive Feta
Silver Award winning products included:
- Cottage Cheese
- Mediterranean Feta
- European Feta
- Marinated Feta
- Herb & Garlic Feta
- Fat Free Natural Yoghurt
- Premium Natural Yoghurt
- Reduced Fat Vanilla Yoghurt
- Raspberry Yoghurt
- Blueberry Yoghurt
- Apple & Cinnamon Yoghurt
Mundella Foods dominated the yoghurt and cheese categories winning first place in four of them including:
- Yoghurt with no Added Flavour – Mundella Greek Natural Yoghurt
- Yoghurt with more than 3% fat, with product other than real fruit – Mundella Greek Vanilla Yoghurt
- Yoghurt with more than 3% fat, with only real fruit – Mundella Greek Banana & Mango Yoghurt
- Flavoured Feta Cheese – Sundried Tomato & Olive Feta
At previous WA RAS Dairy Awards, Mundella Foods have won several categories including champion dairy product for the Greek Honey Yoghurt last year, as well as a number of awards at the WA Dairy Inductry Association earlier this year.
The next award ceremony that Mundella Foods will be contending will be the Australian Grand Dairy Awards in Melbourne in October.
